if enum wont rename make sure you're running regedit as administrator in windows 7, right click regedit and select run as administrator. you should then be able to rename the key. There is no other reason that you cant.. either you are not using an admin account or you're using vista, win7 or server 2008 and dont have admin rights on regedit.

Hi, Question; I went to regedit and found the site you proposed HOTKEY_LOCAL*****************\Services\. As I look down at the individual files there is one file called Enum but it will not rename. Just below this Enum file I found another file called Services and in many of it's sub folders there are many files called Enum. Do I change each one of these? I hope this is clear for you, many thanks, JohnT

Thank you!
More clear to say that if the service giving you that error has an enum sub key, then rename it.

For whatever weird reason I had 3 services shoot this error.
Other services had an enum subkey, but did not shoot error.

Thanks again

This fix worked great! Just renamed Enum as you stated and error message went away. I'm Guessing it's fine to delete the old now correct. Thanks again!
